KAWET은 환경·폐자원·에너지 분야의 기업, 기관, 전문가가 함께하는 비영리단체로서, 공익을 최우선 가치로 삼아 활동하고 있습니다.
1996년 12월 창립 이후, 산·학·연 협력을 기반으로 폐자원에너지 및 자원순환 분야의 기술개발과 산업 발전을 선도해 왔습니다. 변화하는 에너지 환경 속에서
지속가능한 성장 기반을 마련하고, 국가 탄소중립 실현에 기여하는 핵심 플랫폼으로 자리매김하고 있습니다.
KAWET은 폐자원의 에너지화·자원화·재이용 기술 고도화를 촉진하고, 정책 자문과 학술 교류, 세미나·심포지엄 등을 통해 산업 생태계 활성화에 기여하고 있습니다.
또한 국내외 기술 교류와 협력사업을 통해 미래 기술 비전을 제시하고, 다양한 이해관계자 간 협력과 소통을 확장해 나가고 있습니다.
앞으로도 KAWET은 기술과 정책, 산업과 사회를 연결하는 중심 플랫폼으로서, 탄소중립과 자원순환사회 구현을 선도하며 지속가능한 에너지 산업의 미래를

Greetings, The Korea Association of Waste-to-Energy Technology (KAWET)
The Korea Association of Waste-to-Energy Technology (KAWET) is a non-profit organization
comprised of corporations, institutions, and professionals engaged in the fields of
environment, waste resources, and energy. KAWET is dedicated to advancing the public
interest as its foremost mission.
Since its establishment in December 1996, KAWET has contributed to technological
innovation and industrial development in the waste-to-energy and resource circulation
sectors, grounded in close collaboration among academia, industry, and research
institutions. In response to the evolving global energy landscape, we continue to
strengthen a sustainable foundation for growth and to reinforce our role as a key
platform supporting the transition toward carbon neutrality.
KAWET promotes the development and dissemination of technologies related to
waste-to-energy conversion, resource recovery, and recycling. Through policy advisory,
academic exchange, and the organization of seminars and symposiums, we contribute to the
advancement of the green industry ecosystem. We also actively engage in international
cooperation and technical exchange, present forward-looking technological perspectives,
and facilitate collaboration among a broad range of stakeholders.
KAWET will continue to serve as a central platform linking technology, policy, industry,
and society. We remain committed to advancing carbon neutrality and a circular economy,
while contributing to the sustainable development of the energy sector.
